CBSE Curriculum
We advocate for the recognition, identification, and cultivation of the distinct abilities of every student. This involves raising awareness among educators and parents to support the comprehensive development of each child in both academic and non-academic areas. Research indicates that 85% of human brain development occurs by the age of six, encompassing crucial aspects such as language, cognitive, and socio-emotional growth. According to the new educational framework established by NEP 2020, children will engage in five years of the Foundational stage, followed by three years in the Preparatory stage, three years in the Middle stage, and four years in the Secondary stage.
Foundation Stage
This developmental phase encompasses children aged 3 to 8 years, specifically from Nursery through Grade 2. During this critical period, the institution offers suitable and high-quality Early Childhood Care and Education. Enrollment begins at the Nursery level, where students engage in a Play-based, Activity-Oriented educational approach. This methodology fosters interaction among peers, the cultivation of positive personal habits, and effective engagement with their environment. To support these objectives, a comprehensive curriculum has been designed, covering fundamental concepts across various domains. It is our conviction that the manner of instruction significantly influences children’s learning experiences, often more so than the content itself.
Preparatory Stage
The preparatory stage encompasses grades three to five, catering to children aged 8 to 11 years. This period is crucial for a child’s development, as it marks the beginning of their journey towards engaging with more complex and goal-oriented learning experiences, both independently and collaboratively. The Preparatory Stage is a three-year educational program that extends the play-based, exploratory, and activity-centered teaching methods established in the Foundational Stage. During this phase, there is a gradual transition from a play-centric approach to a more structured and interactive classroom environment, aimed at establishing a robust foundation in various subjects, including reading, writing, speaking, physical education, art, languages, science, and mathematics.
Middle Stage
The Middle Stage encompasses a three-year educational period that builds upon the pedagogical and curricular framework established during the Preparatory Stage. This phase includes students aged 12 to 14, corresponding to grades 6 through 8. During this developmental stage, children experience significant growth across physical, social, intellectual, and emotional domains. The middle school years serve as a critical period for grasping new concepts, as well as for their application and analysis. Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on more abstract ideas within disciplines such as science, mathematics, the arts, social studies, and computer science, in addition to language studies. To enhance students’ confidence and deepen their understanding of classroom concepts, we incorporate a variety of group and individual activities beyond the standard curriculum. Furthermore, we have introduced skill-oriented subjects, including Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Health Science, and Finance and Marketing.
Secondary Stage
The Secondary Stage encompasses a four-year program of interdisciplinary education, which expands upon the subject-focused teaching and curriculum established in the Middle Stage. This phase emphasizes deeper engagement, enhanced critical thinking skills, a stronger focus on personal aspirations, and increased flexibility in subject selection for students. It serves individuals aged 14 to 18 years, covering Grades 9 through 12. The academic rigor of the Secondary Stage is paramount, with ongoing efforts to instill and cultivate values and principles that promote the comprehensive development of our students. At present, our institution offers two years of secondary education, specifically Grades 9 and 10.
